Excellent Job by all.. The Frosh/Soph meet had some excellent times. What i did notice from our first meet is that some of us are running like we are running a workout.  It is a learning period and we will work on that… but here are a few things that us coaches saw:

1. Getting boxed in.. This is when you are caught in th with a runner in front and on your sides.. you must be aware  of where you are on the track..

2. Not being aggresive in getting out of the box

3. Being able to surge ahead to get away from trouble

Karlie Dean missed the school record in the 300y of 38.7 held by Stephanie Blake in 2002 by 2 tenths of a second with a time of 38.9. She will have to wait for the Suffern meet for another attempt.

Ryan Gomba had a great race in the 600y.  Running a 1:18.8… missing the school  record by 3 seconds.

John Jay had some great performances at the Kick Off Meet this Saturday at the Armory. We had several PR’s broken and 9 people placed: Ryan Gomba, Kevin Joyce, Mike Mosca, Mike Clifford, Jenna DiLullo, Karlie Dean, Grace Tilearcio, Rachel Miura and Chanelle Santilli.
