Section I will be able to allow spikes for all your athletes for the following meets:

· Jan 31
· Feb 7
· Feb 14
· Feb 15

Spikes will be disallowed for all meets prior to Jan 31.

DIRECTIONS:

Route 9 South to Annsville Traffic Rotary. Follow signs around Rotary to Route 9 South. Cross bridge to traffic light. Stay in left hand lane. At traffic light make left turn onto Bear Mountain Parkway East. One mile to Division Street. Exit and make left at end of ramp. Proceed one mile to Colonial Terrace.

I would like to thank everyone who showed up at our meeting. It is very important that parents understand what the Indoor Track season is all about. As i mentioned last night, the Booster Club is a very important part of our team. I found out today that we will have to pay for some of the Invitational meets that I plan for our team to attend. This  is why it is so important that we continue to support the Booster Club. If you have any fundraising ideas please share them with us.

One very important topic that was brought up last night was Nutrition. I am asking the parents help in making nutrition important at home. Girls especially are not eating properly to sustain themselves during practice.  We will be spending a part of our practice day to focus on Nutrition. This is an important aspect of training, maybe even more so. How can you expect to put forth hard effort with an empty stomach? A full stomach? Finding the balance between too much and too little is key. It is important for the focus to continue at home as well.

Meeting will be held in the cafeteria at 6.30pm.. This meeting is for parents and athletes. This will be a very informative meeting which we will answwer all your questions..

Coach Roth and i would like to think every one for a great Awards Dinner. The Raffle was a great idea by Mrs. Miyoshi. We raised over 400 dollars.. I guess the big winner was Mike Turi.. I hope his luck continues this Indoor season..

All Cross Country runners have a week off.. No running..but you all need to weight train.. We will be in the weight room on Tuesday/Thursday..Monday,Wednesday,Friday.. core and flexability..

The John Jay Cross Country /Track Team will be holding their annual Awards Dinner on Friday , November 20th,2009. During the dinner we will be hosting a Fund Raising Raffle with the support of the local businesses. We are asking each member  of the  X/Country team to be assigned to solicit 2 local businesses fora donation for our raffle. As you get the donations please keep us informed of your progress. Each member is responsible for 2!!! This is what we have left from a list of area business that many of you have already started working on.. You are not limited to this list..We do not have alot of time so lets get moving..
